Club Facilities
Clean showers and toilets are on site. Visitors berthed at Closehaven Marina (adjacent to the yacht club) are given a key upon request as part of their marina fee to gain after hours access to them.
Members of the Port Douglas Yacht Club need to request a key. After hours access for members is part of membership privileges.
A fully equipped laundry with washing machines, dryers, tubs and ironing equipment is also available.
Operation for the washers and dryers is by coin in the slot.
Phone the club for prices and availability. Although the Hardstand can be used by all, club members receive a discounted rate.
Port Douglas Yacht Club Storage Lockers
Lockers are available for rent at the Port Douglas Yacht Club, adjacent to the clubs boat storage yard. Full members receive a discount.
Locker construction is colourbond corrugated iron exterior walls/roof and cement floors. Each locker is separated from the other by mesh walls. Dimensions vary - all are approximately 1m wide x 2m high - depths vary from approximately 1 to 2.8m.
Annual Rental Charges
Rental Charges are payable annually, in advance, no later than one month prior to the expiry date of the annual rental period. Charges vary according to approximate size of the locker. Below is the schedule of annual charges.
An additional $100 bond payment is required prior to usage of the locker. The bond is fully refundable upon vacating the locker, provided it is left clean, clear of all items and ready for re-use.
Applicants are required to sign rental contracts prior to usage of a locker.
Applicants to supply their own padlocks.
